A 47 year-old man was admitted to our clinic on September 3G, 1970, because of sudden development of severe headache.
Neurological examinations showed full comatose mental state, the- right pupil dilated, spastic hemiplegia on left side, and the left extensor plantar responses.
The right carotid angiography revealed large space-occupying lesion in the right temporal region.
Emergency craniotomy in the right fronto-temporal region was done and a large blood clot was removed from the right temporal lobe subcortically.
Post-operatively, the patient fairly improved except for the left spastic weakness.
Literature was reviewed. Location of hematoma, operative indication, and results were discussed.
